Getting Ready To Kill Again

This story starts on September 22, 2022 in Wisconsin Department of Corrections. I’m doing life in prison for murder. I will never see the outside world again because of my actions.

So once a killer always a killer and on September 22, 2022, I got word from my guy that an inmate by the name of “NL” was looking to stab me up. I know NL and I truly dislike this shit bag. He is a well-known rat in prison and has been stabbed up twice that I know of and he almost died one of those  times. So this guy does not learn.

And I’m not the one to play with at all. I’m not looking for problems nor do I want to kill anybody but prison has people like NL who have a big mouth and are too dumb to know when to shut up.
Anyways, my guy told me that somehow NL was coming to recreation with Housing Unit 1, which is my unit. I’m thinking to myself, how in the world could NL go to Housing Unit 1’s recreation yard given that he’s on being on Housing Unit 2?

See the thing is at CCI you can only go to recreation with your housing unit. I was housed on unit 1 and NL was housed on unit 2. So that right there was something funny. And now to add to that NL and I have what is called a SPN — Special Placements Need. So no way in hell should NL be any where around me, nor me around him.

So I now know for a fact it was a set up by somebody at CCI.

Well I make the choice to make a shank because no way in hell will I hide from this no good rat. Maybe you might be thinking, why didn’t I go to the staff about all this. Well two reasons, one being I’m not a rat and second, staff set all this up. And it was set up for one reason and one reason alone, and that is to see some blood.

At that time I was pissed off big time knowing I was being set up but what could I do. It was kill or be killed. And I will be no victim!!!

So it took me two days to finish my shank. In California state penitentiary, we call some shanks Bone Crusher’s because that is what they are, they will crush bone with each hit.

I made the weapon out of ⅛ inch thick metal. What I did was rip off the desk locker door and worked the metal with my hands until it would snap. I learned how to make shanks of this size in California state penitentiary CDCR.

Well after the shank was finished it was 9 inches long, 2 inches wide and sharpened to a 45 degree angle and trust me, it was sharp as hell. It was for one purpose and one purpose only:  to kill. It’s not easy shaping metal with your hands and if you think so get a piece of ⅛ inch thick metal and see if you can pull it off. And that will tell you just how motivated I was.

Once I finished the weapon, my cell mate CK almost pissed himself. But I told his soft ass it was not for him, but like a soft ass inmate he had fear all over his face. You can tell when a person is in fear and CK couldn’t hide it.

So now, on September 24, 2022, I’m in the cell by myself because CK was at his institution job. He worked in the Restricted Housing Unit, RHU. So I take some more time to try and get it sharper and I heard a loud knock at the cell door, then I hear a white shirt tell me to uncover the cell door window.

At that minute I knew they are were there to lock me up in Restricted Housing Unit RHU. So I think fast and I push the shank down into the toilet pipe. Then I uncovered the window and the white shirt told me that I’m being taken to RHU. The whole time the white shirt was talking I was thinking to myself, fuck I didn’t even get to stab that piece of shit up and I’m getting locked up. So I put my hands out the trap and get cuffed up and off to RHU I went.

Now in RHU, my cell mate CK comes to my door and I tell him to pull the shank out of the toilet and shit can it. And guess what good old inmate CK does with that information, he tells the staff right where the shank was. The staff didn’t find the shank on the first search but as soon as CK told them it was in the toilet they found it.

Now on September 25, 2022, inmate CK comes to my door and lies to me at first saying he didn’t tell on me but after a few minutes, he told me the truth that he snitched me out. Then on September 26, 2022 a detective from Columbia County Sheriff’s office wanted to talk to me. Now I find that funny as shit. I’m already doing 44 to LIFE in Wisconsin DOC. What can they do, take my birthday away lol?

I want you all to keep in mind the prison did all this. I didn’t want to kill anybody. But if somebody is after me I will take that man’s life. I’m sick of playing games with the inmates in this state. I guess everybody has forgotten who Justin Patrick Welch is. I should say who I was. The truth is I don’t get off on killing nor do I enjoy it. It’s very stressful getting ready to kill a person. But this goes to show you all just how dirty prison really is.

And nobody will get into trouble for any of this but me. I ended up getting 3 months in RHU and transferred to Waupun Correctional Institution. The investigator at WCI just let me out of RHU and I think he may understand and that’s why he let me out.

CCI told me the day I was being transferred that if WCI didn’t take me that I would of been placed on Administrative Confinement AC.

My plan now is to kick back and do my best to not kill anybody here at WCI. But knowing how this state is, some dumb inmate will try me some day and I will just deal with it. A lot of people in here just don’t think so I’m sure some fool will find out who I am. That’s life in prison.
