This is Darrel’s bio, in his own words:
I was born in January of ’74 to a loving family. I was raised by my whole family—aunt, uncles, grandparents, and my mother and stepfather. I have two sisters and two nieces now. I’m a Texas boy and very proud of it.
I love nature and the outdoors. When I was little my mother couldn’t keep me inside or keep shoes on my feet. I loved helping feed my grandfather’s chickens and going with him for catfish.
I was arrested at the age of 17 for murder and was convicted and sentenced to 40 years aggravated. I have just completed my 23rd year in prison not too long ago. This is my only crime and it never should’ve happened.
I hope to be released soon and would love to open and operate a club and restaurant. I want to be a positive influence on my community and to help those in need when others just walk by. Most importantly, I want to live life to the fullest and learn how to love and be in love with every aspect of life.
