This is Christi Buchanan’s bio, in her own words:
My name is Christi, I’m 49 and I’m proud of it!
I moved to Virginia when I was a little kid and have been trapped here ever since. I’ve been a resident of the VADOC [Virginia Department of Corrections] since I was 21. And even though I go up for parole every year, my release is questionable.
Over the years I have spent my time working and going to school. I’ve earned several vocational certifications, including CAD (Computer Aided Drafting). Last may I graduated Suma Cum Laude from the community college Wyan Associates Degree.
I am currently working as a Braille transcriber and it is the coolest thing I’ve ever done. We turn textbooks into “Raised Dots” for blind students. I am certified by the library of Congress to do this. I love it! I’m working on my Braille proofreading certification now. If I’m not at work, I’m usually watching “Castle” or listening to music.
I love Jesus and the color green. I think Styx is the most underrated band of the 80’s. I believe laughter is vital and try to do it every day. And my sister is my hero.
